While WE DO NOT IMPLEMENT HL7 standards, we will surely look AT them closely. We do believe web health-oriented tools ARE NOT mature enough TO start ON standardizing things. It IS NOT because loads OF money ARE AT stake AND that many (mainly commercial enterprises) claim TO be the experts, that the DOMAIN IS mature enough FOR standardization: the Web IS too young AND has, we believe, changed the way information networks ARE thought.

Lets make the web a better place AND gain MORE understanding OF how tomorrows multimedia can enhance our health-related practice AND THEN ONLY see what standards might be a good deal.

But this IS ONLY our humble opinion ;-)Health Level 7 (http://www.hl7.org)hopes to stabilize "standards for electronic interchange of clinical, financial, and administrative information among health care oriented computer systems; e.g. hospital information systems, clinical laboratory systems, enterprise systems, and pharmacy systems.".
